A Passion for Food

Easter of 2012

Easter has come to Bilbao and with it a passion … for good food. A different way of marking Easter.

To put the feast in your feast days, we have prepared this guide with full information on the wide range of restaurants and bars in Bilbao. It features a mouth-watering list of establishments that do not close over the Easter holiday period.

Laid out by districts, this guide enables you to draw up your own route and go “pintxo- hopping” from bar to bar or pick whatever restaurants catch your eye. It covers not only the most tourist-oriented areas such as the Guggenheim Museum and Abando, the Alhóndiga Centre, Indautxu and the Old Town but also some lesser known corners of the city, such as Deusto and Bilbao La Vieja, which are also packed with tasty locales.

Restaurante en Bilbao

The guide also lists the member establishments of the Km 0 Movement, also known as the Slow Food Movement, which promote products backed by a commitment to biodiversity and advocate fresh seasonal cuisine. Also listed restaurants that hold Michelin stars.

In short … Bilbao has something to suit every taste this Easter.
