Bilbao-Bizkaia ya tiene sus mejores “pintxos” 2015

Bilbao-Bizkaia already have their best “pintxos” 2015. A temptation for the most discerning palate, which will have the opportunity to enjoy the most delicious “snacks” at La Olla in the Plaza Nueva in Bilbao, Golden Stick for “Best Pintxo Business”, at Haritza Gastro Bar in Mungia, Gold Stick for ” Pintxo with star ingredient, Anchovy”, at Kobika in Durango, Gold Stick in” Free Pintxo “and at Sagarra Gastro Pub in Ermua,” Special Public Award”. A total of 59 catering establishments of Bilbao-Bizkaia took part in the seventeenth edition of the Bilbao-Bizkaia Pintxo Competition 2015, which has been held in the city and the territory between June 4 – 7, and 11 – 14 .

A jury formed by ten Basque chefs internationally renowned have faced the difficult challenge of choosing the most succulent “pintxos”, a combination of tradition and innovation, in the categories “Pintxo with star ingredient, Anchovy” and “Free Pintxo”. The event took place in the Higher Catering School of Artxanda, where they have cooked “in situ” the seven “pintxos” that had been previously selected in each of the two sections by a representation of the staff and management team of this culinary centre , which helps to organize the competition. This latter jury has also been responsible for the choice of the three best local “pintxos” of the city and the Territory
