Mumford & Sons, nuevo cabeza de cartel en el festival Bilbao BBK Live

Mumford & Sons will be another of the grand names to perform at the tenth edition of Bilbao BBK Live. The British band will offer the Biscay capitol their only 2015 festival concert in Spain. Together since 2007, the band quickly stood out in what was then called the ‘West London folk scene’. Their first album ‘Sign No More’ reached Nº2 of the UK charts and managed to hop onto the American Billboard 200, helping to open the doors to larges festivals. Before their debut album came they had already released three EPs that had helped the band gain popularity in their country.

Their second album ‘Babel’ saw the light in September 2012 and reached Nº1 of the charts in countries like the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Norway or New Zealand amongst others. With ‘Babel’ the band were recognized as an important international talent and their name started appearing in capitol letters on some of the biggest festivals’ bills. Throughout 2014, Mumford & Sons have been working on their third studio album, with no release date known at the moment. The British band have already been awarded, despite their still short, but indeed intense, career, with two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards and three Billboard Music Awards, amongst others.

The Irish band Of Monsters And Men are the other novelty added to the festivals line-up. The band jumped to fame in 2011, just a year after they formed, with the multi-platinum hit ‘Little Talks’. The song was included in their debut album ‘My Head Is An Animal’ (2012), a mix of indie, folk and alternative pop-rock that not only awarded the band with many compliments, but also sold nearly two million copies around the world. After performing in the worlds most important festivals the band are now getting ready to release their second album, produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Foster the People, Interpol…), due before this summer 2015.
