The Spain China Council Foundation has chosen Bilbao as a model of sustainable urban development, under the ‘Future Chinese Leaders’ program, which aims to promote a strong network of high level contacts between Chinese professionals and state institutions and enterprises.

Within this program, a delegation consisting of six agents related to architecture and urbanism in China have visited Bilbao to find out about its process of urban transformation and sustainable urban growth strategies.

Chinese urban experts will know throughout the day some of the iconic elements of urban transformation, such as the Guggenheim Museum, the auditorium of the University of the Basque Country UPV / EHU and the tram; besides they will also visit the Museum of Fine Arts.
